Reference

This is the reference we will use to create a drawing of a sword. The design is slightly complicated by the handle but we’ll improve on that to make our drawing resemble it as close as we can.
Steps For Drawing A Sword
Step 1

Start by drawing a small shape for the hilt of the sword. Then draw two vertical lines and join it to this shape with an uneven horizontal line.
Go onto drawing two long vertical lines and join it to the previous two with a curved line.
Step 2

Then draw this horizontal line but include the jagged ends.
Step 3

Continue draw this pattern of the sword until yours look something like this.
At this stage, you can create your own design for the handle of the sword if you want.
Step 4

Then draw two long vertical lines that become narrow further down. You’re halfway through with this tutorial and you should be done pretty soon.
Step 5

Extend these lines down till it reaches a sharp point at the very end.
Once you’ve got this, that’s all there really is to drawing a sword.
You may go ahead and give this drawing some color or you can challenge yourself to draw this sword in different positions.
