I absolutely love giraffes and they are one of my top favorite animals. Despite being so tall, they are incredibly cute and adorable to look at. Their faces come across as innocent and did you know that they can go without water for days?
This is why I was so excited to create this tutorial on how to draw a giraffe. It’s really quite simple to draw even though there is a substantial amount of detail to include.
Nevertheless, we will take our time to recreate an awesome drawing of a giraffe from scratch.

This is the reference we will use to draw a giraffe. You can easily take these steps that we will do today and use it to draw a giraffe in any pose.
Steps For Drawing A Giraffe
Step 1
Begin by drawing the head of the giraffe. Draw a line for the front of the face and draw it in a way where it curves in for the mouth. Don’t forget to add the top and then draw the ears.
Step 2
From the head and the mouth, draw two curved lines going down for the neck of the giraffe. Then draw square shapes with than shape for the pattern of the giraffe. Also, draw another line on the top of the neck to indicate the hair.
Step 3
Continue drawing those two lines down to create the rest of the giraffe’s body. Don’t forget to include the stomach and the line for the leg and tail. Also, continue drawing the blocks within this shape.
Step 4
Now draw the first two front legs of the giraffe and draw a few smaller squares at the top of the legs.
Step 5
Then draw the two remaining legs as well as the rest of the tail of the giraffe. Also, add in the details for the hair as well.
If you’re happy with your line drawing, you can now move on to filling your drawing with some color to make it pretty.
