How To Draw A Gingerbread Man
As a kid, I used to love it when my mother would make me a gingerbread man during the festive season. They’re my favorite and this got me thinking, I should probably do a gingerbread man drawing. Lo and behold, I’ve got a tutorial for you on how to draw a gingerbread man.
This gingerbread man drawing is super simple. I’m willing to bet that you’ll be able to complete it in under 2 minutes but like I say in a lot of my work, you have to master simple and basic drawings before challenging yourself with intermediate drawings.
With that being said, I think it’s the right time for us to get started on this guide on how to draw a gingerbread man.

Steps For Drawing A Gingerbread Man
Step 1
Let’s begin this gingerbread man drawing with his head. It’s basically the equivalent of drawing a semi circle that extends slightly beyond the midpoint.
Step 2
To get started with the rest of his body, we need to curve both ends of our lines sharply and turn them into what looks like the beginning of new semi circles.
Step 3
Keep rounding those lines and straightening them out until they appear to look like arms.
These lines should end just before they’re in line with where they began above.
Step 4
From the point of which both the arms ended, we need to draw two straight and vertical lines that are slanted in the direction that they face.
We will be using these lines to draw the legs for our gingerbread man drawing.
Step 5
Now, along the center of your Christmas drawing, you want to create an upside-down U-shaped line that more or less looks as if it’s in line with the center point of the head.
Step 6
For this portion of our drawing, we will complete the legs and feet by drawing a straight horizontal line with a slightly wide curve that connects to the legs.
Start with the right foot first and make sure that the curved point extends slightly outwards.
Step 7
You can do the exact same thing you did in the previous step. I wanted to draw my gingerbread man imperfectly so that it looks like something you would actually bake.
In this case, I just completely rounded the tip of the foot and connected it to the leg.
Step 8
All that’s left is for us to add some details to our gingerbread man drawing.
Let’s start with three circles in the center of its body followed by a smile and two eyes.
Step 9
I also decided to add curvy and wavy rectangles by the feet and arms to separate them from the rest of the body.
That’s it!
Our gingerbread man drawing is complete. You can color it in if you’d like and I opted for a brown.
Leave the inside of your decorations uncolored or you can opt for a matching color if you’d like.
Conclusion
I really hope you enjoyed this article on how to draw a gingerbread man. I’m going to add this to my collection of Christmas drawings.
