Did you know that they are more than a billion years old? How cool is that?
But before I get into the long facts of how cool diamonds really are, let’s get down to business.
I’ve created a step by step guide on how to draw a diamond from beginning to end.
It’s a simple design of a diamond but you’ll have loads of fun drawing it.
If you want to have straighter lines, then you may use a ruler, otherwise it’s totally okay to do it freehand as I have done here.
I’m really excited to show you how to draw a diamond so let’s get on with the tutorial.
Steps For Drawing A Diamond
Step 1
The very first thing we need to do when drawing a diamond is to draw this shape above.
This shape will be the top of the diamond and it will make it much easier to draw the rest of the diamond.
Go ahead and try to replicate the shape I have done over here.
Step 2
At the bottom of the shape, draw a few lines in an angle at each point.
Once you have done this, draw another line across joining each point and line. It should look something like this.
Step 3
Now head over the right side of the drawing and draw a line coming down in an angle. Leave a good distance between the top of the diamond and this line.
Step 4
Draw two more lines that come down joining it to the first. You can match this line to the first shape you had drawn so it looks like this.
Step 5
To complete your diamond drawing, add the final line on the left side and join it to the bottom.
And that’s all there is to drawing a diamond.
