All you need is a pencil and paper to get started.
Steps For Drawing A Candle
Step 1
To begin your drawing, simply start by drawing two parralel lines as such. They don’t need to be perfectly straight lines but you can use a ruler if you do want it to be so otherwise it’s totally okay for these lines to be uneven as long as they are generally the same height.
Step 2
At the bottom of these two lines, draw a slightly curved line to join them together.
Head over to the top of the candle and draw a curved line around the lines to create a shape like this.
You can use an eraser to leave a few gaps in this shape.
Step 3
To indicate that the wax is melting off the candle, draw a wavy line as such. Then draw a curved line in the middle of the shape and then add another smaller line for the wick.
Step 4
Extend the line if the wick to be slightly higher and then draw a curved line around this.
In doing so, this will be the first part of the flame.
It will make your drawing more interesting if we add the flame.
Step 5
Next up, you’ll want to draw another curved line next to the one you just drew. Make the top part pointy as I have done over here.
The line drawing of this candle is now complete.
Step 6
If you want, you can go ahead and add some color to your candle drawing since it will make it look really pretty.
