How To Draw A Camel Step By Step (Easy Drawing Guide)

I’ve put together a step by step guide to learn how to draw this camel from start to finish. You’ll be really shocked to discover how easy it is to draw a camel.
Once you know where and how to go about doing so, everything else falls into place. Even if you’re not so used to drawing different things, this is a great opportunity to try.

Grab a pencil (not a pen) so that you can erase and make adjustments if need be. Once you are satisfied with your drawing, then you can move on to inking.

Reference
This is the reference we will use to draw a camel. It does look somewhat complicated but to make things easier, we will leave out the excess detail like the blankets.
To give you a quick overview of how we will go about drawing this camel, we’ll start by drawing the head, then the neck, body, and the legs.
Steps For Drawing A Camel
Step 1
To draw the head of the camel, begin by a curved line and then draw the mouth and ear.
Step 2
Add another curved line around the mouth arrea and one more short line for the nose.
Step 3
The draw the eye and place it just below the ear. Across the head, draw two curved lines that run from the top to the bottom of the head. Draw another two lines that go horizontally and meet at the bottom of the previous two lines.
Step 4
To draw the neck, draw a line down from the ear and then draw a line that curves towards the bottom from the mouth.
Step 5
Go back to the first line of the next and draw another line that curves upwards. Extend the second neck line so that it curves and creates a line like this.
Step 6
Draw another curved line to create the hump of the camel at the top.
Step 7
Then you must extend that line to come down. Once you have done this, go back tot he from and draw a slight long curved line for the front leg.
Step 8
Add a few more curved lines to create the other leg and make sure that the feet don’t look squared.
Step 9
Add the belly of the camel by drawing two curved lines while making the second curved line more bigger than the first.
Step 10
Add the other back leg of the camel by drawing a few curved lines. You can copy the lines that I have drawn over here.
Step 11
The last step you need to do to finish off this camel drawing is to draw the last back leg.
This leg will join from the back of the camel going down and you will notice that it is also connected to the leg from the previous step.
And that’s all you need to do to draw a camel. If you’re up for the challenge, you can go ahead and draw the blankets but this drawing is now completed.
Step 12
You can leave this drawing as a line drawing but I think some color definitely makes this drawing look even better.
